EDQ advise that works to provide the permanent driveway to car park #2 are scheduled to begin on Monday 24 January (weather permitting).

As per the current traffic arrangements during construction along MacArthur Avenue, directional signage will be in place to assist with safe traffic movements in and around the area.

The new driveway is expected to be open on Friday 28 January 2022 for weekend use only until construction works along MacArthur Avenue are completed in early March.

Local traffic will be able to access car park 2 via this new driveway from 3pm on Friday 28 January 2022 to 7am Monday 31 January 2022, and each Friday afternoon to Monday morning thereafter until the new MacArthur Avenue road is opened, where the driveway will then be open 24/7.

Frasers Property are soon to commence the construction of Rivers Reach with McNab as Contractors.

There are some significant impacts on Parkside CCT which will be bifurcated into two halves by the construction site with no through public traffic. Some key points

    - 12 of the 24 street parks in Parkside CCT will close during construction. (4 will not reopen in front of new homes)

    - The road will be closed in front of River Reach for materials handling etc. Traffic will be signed but “lost” vehicles will need to U-Turn at NewPort or at the other end in front of the River Homes.

    - The work hours are 6:30am-6:30pm Monday - Saturday (later start and shorter hours on Saturdays typically).

    - The workforce will be walking to work via the River Walk but are not to park in local streets given the limited parking

-The Riverwalk Access between Rivers Reach and River Homes may be partially closed for up to 10 months.

    - Driven piles are used so most of the “Circuit” residents will certainly hear, if not feel the piling.

When the HRCA caught up up with EDQ Northshore we were told the PDA Amendment would be released by Xmas. It seems Christmas has come early for those that may have contributed in the original workshops years ago or are just keen to know what changes have been made.
