Frasers Property are soon to commence the construction of Rivers Reach with McNab as Contractors.

There are some significant impacts on Parkside CCT which will be bifurcated into two halves by the construction site with no through public traffic. Some key points

    - 12 of the 24 street parks in Parkside CCT will close during construction. (4 will not reopen in front of new homes)

    - The road will be closed in front of River Reach for materials handling etc. Traffic will be signed but “lost” vehicles will need to U-Turn at NewPort or at the other end in front of the River Homes.

    - The work hours are 6:30am-6:30pm Monday - Saturday (later start and shorter hours on Saturdays typically).

    - The workforce will be walking to work via the River Walk but are not to park in local streets given the limited parking

-The Riverwalk Access between Rivers Reach and River Homes may be partially closed for up to 10 months.

    - Driven piles are used so most of the “Circuit” residents will certainly hear, if not feel the piling.

When the HRCA caught up up with EDQ Northshore we were told the PDA Amendment would be released by Xmas. It seems Christmas has come early for those that may have contributed in the original workshops years ago or are just keen to know what changes have been made.

BMD will be starting night works on Macarthur Avenue South from the 6th of September for 8 weeks. Night works will be from 6pm to 6am.

The works are for installation of a new bored sewer pipe with works actually occurring around the clock hence the notice for night time works.

Works will commence from the eastern end (Northshore Cafe end) and work west.

Starting Saturday 14th August, BMD will be undertaking drone flights to record progress of the works they are doing. If you see or hear a drone around 11am to 12pm then it is an organised and approved drone flight.  Flights will be around 40 minutes in duration.

Also the footpath between the Cafe Roundabout to the Shed is closed until the completion of works on MacArthur Av South.  The detour runs down via the river towards Eat Street

BMD will shortly be undertaking rectification of the ponding issue that occurs at intersection of MacArthur Avenue North and Theodore Street. Works include:

The works are scheduled for Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th August.

    * Cleaning out existing centre median rock drains

    * Installing additional centre median rock drains

    * Installing drainage break outs in existing kerb

The works are scheduled for Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th August.

BMD will also be doing new line-marking and traffic signage at the intersection of Theodore Street and Curtin Avenue West. The big change here is that the priority will now be given to Theodore Street for through traffic. There will be Stop signs on Cullen Avenue West from both directions. This will improve the Safety of this intersection.

These works are currently scheduled for early Monday 2nd August to Wednesday 4th August.
